A craftsman patiently produces this amber liquor over many years where the art has been passed down through generations from father to son. Aqua vitae, Uisce beatha, or usquebaugh all translate to Water of Life which was the original and romantic purpose of whisky.
At The Malt Vault we aim to slow everything down and give you the opportunity to enjoy to savor this wonderful crafted product in the way in which it was intended… We are not a bar but rather a sanctuary where the journey of whisky ends in an appreciative setting. So please, relax and take your time, from nose to pallet to finish…
In almost all traditional establishments, Whisk(e)y is categorized and presented based on their place of origin. This is a reasonable approach if one has some basic knowledge of typical styles and flavour which are typically associated with various regions: one can expect Islay whisky to be peaty and rich whereas Irish Whiskey is synonymous for being smoother and more forgiving due to its traditional triple distilled process.
At The Malt Vault we have taken it upon ourselves to shake things up a little and present our range based on character and flavour. Our shelves are arranged from light and delicate to rich and peaty and smoky for your convenience. However, this is not an exact science and your taste and interpretation will be the ultimate judge. We encourage you to try our tasting flights so you may experience the many wonderful and varied flavours of this wonderfully crafted product.
